As the President of Ronald A. Roberts Associates, Ron offers over 40 years of experience in structural/civil engineering. His background provides experience in designs for numerous civil structures including bridges, retaining walls, concrete dams, treatment facility structures and airport terminals.
Prior to establishing his own firm, Ron served as Vice President and Chief Structural/Civil Engineer for SmithDuncan Associates, Inc. In this position he was responsible for production management of all engineering disciplines, as well as the project management, and production of plans, specifications and construction administration for all structural and civil projects.
Before joining SmithDuncan Associates, he was a design engineer with Datum Structures, Inc. of Dallas, Texas. His design responsibilities with this firm included the expansion of a composite continuous railroad overpass, rating of highway bridges for The Texas Highway Department, and wind-frame analysis for several mid-rise office buildings.
He started his career working for URS/Forrest and Cotton, Inc. in Dallas and was responsible for the structural designs of railroad and highway bridges, retaining walls, concrete dams and treatment facility structures, and an airport terminal.
Ron graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. During his time there he served as an engineering technician with the Corps of Engineers in Galveston, Texas and McClelland Engineers in Houston, Texas.
Andrew is the Chief Structural Engineer for Ronald A. Roberts Associates, Inc. He has over 35 years of experience in the structural engineering design of commercial buildings, restaurants, schools, churches, medical facilities, retail stores, military facilities, pedestrian bridges, and low-rise buildings. Andrew is responsible for overall in-house scheduling, implementing preliminary design, final design, structural calculations, coordination of structural construction documents, and construction phase consultation as required.
Prior to joining Ronald A. Roberts Associates, Inc., he was with Rosenlund & Co. for nine and a half years as a structural engineer and project manager. During his time there, Andrew was also the project manager for the Combat Intelligence Training Center at Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, Texas, which involved the Fort Worth Corps of Engineers.
He graduated from John Brown University with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction.
Craig Bailey is a Project Manager for Ronald A. Roberts Associates, Inc. He has over 12 years of experience in structural engineering design of commercial buildings, restaurants, retail stores, and low-rise office buildings. Craig is responsible for managing a team of licensed Professional Engineers, graduate level engineers, and E.I.T level engineers. His responsibilities include generating and reviewing structural calculations, coordination of structural construction documents, construction phase consultation, visual observations during construction phases, and visual structural assessments of existing structures. Project designs have incorporated the usage of steel, masonry, reinforced concrete, and wood for various areas of the continental U.S.A.
Craig graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
